There's more than meets the eye

Film scoring: constitui as partes orquestradas dos filmes, aquelas compostas especialmente para aquele determinado filme e que geralmente as faixas que acompanham a "original motion picture score" têm nomes de personagens ou cenas desse determinado filme. Por exemplo, a score do Batman Begins composta por Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard tem faixas com nomes de tipos de morcegos. :)

Que eu sou viciada em film scores já toda a gente sabe, que as colecciono religiosamente também. Tudo começou quando comecei a ir ao cinema e a prestar atenção não só ao filme em si mas também a ter as antenas ligadas à música, e depois horas mais tarde, a relembrar certas cenas por causa da música que tinha ouvido. E comecei a coleccionar essas partes orquestradas...já tinha a score do The Piano composta por Michael Nyman, mas um dia uma grande amiga minha deu-me uma série delas de rompante: The Crow [Graeme Revell], The Hours [Philip Glass], The Last Samurai [Hans Zimmer] e muitas mais. Aí o gosto tornou-se selectivo e cada vez maior.

De momento oiço a score dos Transformers, de Steve Jablonsky. É fantástica, transmite força, lealdade dos transformers aos seus protegidos, a força de Optimus Prime às suas "tropas" [aliás numa belíssima composição denominada 'Optimus'], passando pelos combates em que facilmente se visualiza em pensamento os transformers todos alinhados preparados para o combate [faixa 'Soccent Attack'].

E muitas outras sensações que as film scores transmitem...pelo menos para mim são uma forma de estar na vida, fazem-me sentir tudo ao pormenor e de diferentes formas, consoante a faixa que esteja a rodar. Fazem-me rir, chorar, saltar, e algumas até dançar! Sim, porque há scores muito boas que misturam a orquestra com a electrónica como é o caso da do filme The Spy Game,composta por Harry Gregson-Williams.

Ao som dos meus fones, ou das minhas colunas out loud, um turbilhão de experiências trespassa este quarto cada vez que uma film score roda...regressa-se ao filme, a tudo aquilo que me apetecer sentir na altura. Hurray for them, for keeping me going each single day.

Foo Fighters com o seu novo álbum. Rockzinho que nos surpreende, inícios que nos remetem a pensar "ah aqui vem uma mais calma", mas eis que a meio uma guitarrada nos surpreende e faz abanar o esqueleto...e sabe bem! Grande álbum este! Já tinha saudades deles assim! Sou, portanto, uma ouvinte satisfeita. :P Deixo aqui a letra da primeira música do cd, "The Pretender", que nos cativa logo à primeira ouvidela...ao menos a mim cativou...
